Our Story

Built on Decades of Trusted Service

At the heart of what people love about Plumbing Masters are Joe Elking Sr. and Joe Elking Jr., a father-and-son team of licensed Master Plumbers who have carried on a tradition of excellence since 1984. What started as a family-owned plumbing company in St. Louis has grown over four decades into a name homeowners genuinely trust. That growth never changed what matters most: precise work, fair prices, and treating every home like our own.

As a plumbing company working in St. Louis since 1984, we have seen and solved nearly every issue a home can face. Our licensed HVAC technicians bring that same depth of skill to heating and cooling, keeping your system running smoothly year-round. Many of our technicians have been with us for years, because when you find good people, you keep them. That continuity means the same crews return to the same neighborhoods, often to houses they have worked on before, so a repair starts from what the building already told us. That loyalty shows in the consistency and care we bring to every job. Homeowners know us as trusted St. Louis HVAC contractors because we show up prepared, explain the work clearly, and get it done right.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an issue with my new dryer. I smelled gas when opening the dryer door. Rick came out and determined there was a faulty gas line. He replaced it with a new flexible line. Everything is working fine now.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Needed to have the kitchen drain line cleared for the first time after 30 years in the house. Was able to schedule service promptly, which was handled professionally and competently. I think the price for the drain cleaning was reasonable, though it is a bit higher than what is seen sometimes in online advertising from other companies. Have been using plumbing master’s for many years and things are always handled competently by respectful and knowledgeable professionals.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently needed a (very old) dripping shower head/faucet replaced. Called on a Friday and appointment was scheduled for the following Monday. Bobby did a great job! Prompt, professional, courteous and the shower works again! Great service at a fair and reasonable price. I will definitely use Plumbing Masters for future needs.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yesterday I reached out to get on schedule to replace my outdoor spigot. Lucy was able to fit me in today for repair. Lorenzo was amazing! He got me fixed up in no time & walked me through steps to prevent line from busting/freezing next season! Shout out to Jared & Brian from previous repairs! Every experience I’ve had with Plumbing Masters has been great! Highly recommend!
